As part of its ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence, J-TEQ EMS Solutions Ltd. has partnered with Technical Services International Consultants Ltd. (TSI) to deliver a specialised training course titled “Forensic Engineering” at its state-of-the-art facility in Livingston.
The course, developed and led by TSI’s Technical Director, Mike Cummings, focuses on the critical aspects of electronic manufacturing processes—specifically Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Pin Through Hole (PTH) assembly, advanced soldering techniques, and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) technologies.
Designed for engineers and technicians, the training explores how materials, equipment, process controls, and product design impact the producibility, reliability, and quality of electronic assemblies. It applies forensic engineering methodologies—systematic, data-driven approaches to investigating deviations, component failures, and process anomalies within complex manufacturing environments.
