Flexible Production Support

We assess each project at quotation stage to determine the right production approach. If additional capability is needed, we can consider investing in new equipment to support the project requirements. Lead times will depend on material availability and the specific requirements of the build.

Surface Mount Technology (SMT)

Our advanced Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process provides the precision and flexibility required for complex aviation and aerospace electronics.

Across three SMT lines, our experts at J-TEQ can place components down to 0201 and support package technologies including QFP, QFN, BGA, µBGA, and LGA. This supports high component density while maintaining the precision required for compact, complex electronic assemblies.

Our robust SMT capabilities support a wide variety of projects, from prototypes and low-batch production to higher-volume manufacturing, giving customers a flexible route that spans initial build to ongoing production.

Through-Hole Technology (THT)

Through-Hole Technology (THT) provides the strong mechanical connections required for components and assemblies exposed to higher levels of mechanical, thermal, or vibrational stress.

At J-TEQ, we provide dedicated THT assembly using hand soldering, wave soldering, selective soldering, or a combination to meet individual product requirements.

Our team also supports both RoHS and non-RoHS through-hole processes. This provides flexibility for aviation and aerospace projects with different component, regulatory, and application requirements.

Functional Testing and Inspection

Testing and inspection are integral parts of the manufacturing process at J-TEQ.

Our Livingston facility provides a variety of PCB testing and inspection capabilities, including automated optical inspection (AOI), X-ray inspection, Ersascope 2 BGA solder-joint verification, in-circuit testing (ICT), and functional testing.

Our trusted engineers can design and build custom test jigs and fixtures around individual customer and product requirements, supported by an IPC-certified manufacturing team with Class 2 and Class 3 expertise and a fully certified internal trainer.

Where specialist testing falls outside our in-house expertise, we work with a network of trusted external testing providers to support a wide range of projects.

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing helps verify that electronic assemblies can operate reliably within their intended electromagnetic environment without causing, or being adversely affected by, unacceptable interference.
